Pathwise CPA Group is seeking an experienced Tax Associate or Tax Senior to join our growing firm in the Watkinsville/Athens area. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on tax preparation experience who enjoys working with small businesses and individuals and communicating directly with clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare S corporation (Form 1120-S) and individual (Form 1040) income tax returns.
• Work in QuickBooks to review financial records, reconcile accounts, and prepare books for tax preparation.
• Use UltraTax CS to prepare accurate, complete tax returns.
• Communicate with clients to gather tax documents, follow up on missing information, and resolve questions.
• Organize supporting workpapers and address review comments.
• Manage assigned work and deadlines while keeping clients and team members informed.

Qualifications

• Prior public accounting experience preparing S corporation and individual income tax returns.
• Experience with QuickBooks; UltraTax CS experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• Clear, professional communication skills and a client-service mindset.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.

Position level will be based on experience.
