Madison County High School Students Shine in MADICO FLEX Competition, One Advances to State Finals

The future of entrepreneurship is bright in Madison County, as local high school students took center stage at this year’s MADICO FLEX Competition, showcasing innovation, determination, and real-world business success.

Three standout student entrepreneurs earned top honors after presenting their businesses to a panel of judges, demonstrating not only creativity but also the ability to turn ideas into impactful ventures.

Taking first place, Grant Foster of Grant’s Woodwork Designs impressed judges with his craftsmanship and business acumen. With this win, Grant will advance to represent Madison County at the Georgia FLEX State Finals, set to take place in Tifton on April 15.

Earning second place was Westlynn Epps of Works By Westlynn, followed by Bella Grace Hambrick of BG’s Heartmade Creations, who secured third place. Each finalist is already operating a business, generating sales, building a brand, and contributing to the local economy.

The MADICO FLEX program continues to serve as a powerful launchpad for young entrepreneurs, equipping students with hands-on experience in business planning, financial management, and professional presentation skills. Through the program, participants gain confidence and develop solutions that strengthen both their futures and the broader Madison County community.

This year’s competition was made possible through the support of dedicated mentors, judges, and the MADICO FLEX leadership team, whose guidance helped students refine their ideas and reach their full potential. A special thank you goes to Piedmont Athens Regional for sponsoring the local prize funding and serving on the judges panel.

Community members are encouraged to continue supporting these talented students by attending the Georgia FLEX State Finals in Tifton and cheering on Grant Foster as he competes at the state level. If you are able to attend, please register here.

As these young innovators continue to grow their businesses, one thing is clear: Madison County’s next generation of leaders is already making its mark.
